Wuhan Transportation - How to get to and get around Wuhan
Wuhan is a transportation hub, which gathers railway, waterway, highway and airline together. Wuhan Tianhe Airport is 25-minute drive from the downtown Wuhan. Each day, there are flights flying from Wuhan to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Chengdu, and other foreign cities. Wuhan is one of the biggest entrepots along Yangtze River in China. There are regular passenger vessels plying Wuhan and Chongqing or Shanghai. As for highway, there are State Hwy. 107, 316 and 318 passing through Wuhan. Besides, freeways to the surrounding cities are available. As the capital of Hubei Province, Wuhan lies where the Yangtze River and the Han River meet. The railways, Bejing-Guangzhou, Xiangfan-Chongqing, Wuhan-Danjiang, Jiaozuo-Zhicheng, Zhicheng-Liuzhou and Wuchang-Daye, form a railway transportation network here. The modes of urban traffic are diverse such as taxies, buses, ferries and cableways, which are convenient for the tourists.
