Hulishan Battery Scenic Spot in Xiamen is an ideal tourist spot for an enthusiastic traveler with the Hulishan Battery and the Rongguang Museum as the main attractions. Hulishan Battery constructed during Qing Dynasty covers an entire area of 17 acres consisting of barracks, tunnel, forts, buildings, magazine etc… A mixture of mud, ash and sand with brown sugar and glutinous rice of particular proportion made the ground where battery is constructed very solid and strong. The largest canon of its time is exhibited here. A visit to Hulishan Battery enlightens you about the warfare during the ancient times.

Rongguang Museum displays firecrackers, guns, swords, the smallest canon made by Portuguese in the 13th century. The unusual natural stones from around the world are displayed such as a Burman stone with a wavy stripe from the northeast to the southwest as if water falling from the sky and another stone that resembles a piece of meat with skin, fat and muscle.
