Xiamen Taxi
The city of Xiamen has a large number of vehicles, thus the taxi can be seen everywhere from boisterous commercial centre to the remote and tranquil residence community. The taxi fare is CNY 8 for the first 3 kilometers and CNY 2 for each additional kilometer hereafter. In addition, another 20% of total charge will be added during the nighttime from 3am to 5am and CNY 1 of bunker surcharge was also be added since last year.
Generally speaking, the taxi stop boards are located just not far from the bus station boards and those large departments and shopping malls often has special stop for taxi passengers. All legal cabs in XIamen are colored with silver on upper part and date red on lower part.
