Brief information on Mt. Taibai National Forest Park  

Mt. Taibai lies in the borders of Meixian County, Taibai County of Baoji City and Zhouzhi County of Xian. It is the highest peak in the Qinling Mountain Range, standing at 3,767 meters.  It boasts snow-capped summits all year around, hence the name Mt. Taibai (great white).

The snow cover in June is one of the eight charming sights in Guanzhong, North China Plain. In addition, tourists should not miss the dangerous valleys and mountain passes, ancient maple trees, flowing mountain streams, arduous peaks, cloud sea, alpine lakes and ancient temples. The best place for appreciating the cloud sea is Ping’an Temple, at an altitude of 2,290 meters.  The most notable alpine lakes in the mountain include Daye Lake, Erye Lake, Sanye Lake, Yuhuang Pool and Mingxing Pool. The smoke and fog trembling above the water and the extraordinary splendour of the glistening light of waves tempt tourists with a picturesque and poetic landscape that is hard to put into words.  

Mt. Taibai is also a popular destination for mountain explorers. The best time to enjoy the many delights of the mountain is from July-August.
