Brief information on Tomb of Prince Yide  



Tomb of Prince Yide is a satellite tomb of Qianling Mausoleum, lying to the southeast of the tomb mound of Emperor Gaozong and his Empress Wu Zetian. Prince Yide, Li Chongrun was the first son of Emperor Zhongzong, Lixian. He was killed for his dissatisfaction at Wu Zetian’s dictatorship when he was 19 years old.

The tomb is a mound with enclosure walls, consisting of tomb passage, dooryards, niches, pave paths and tomb chambers, and extending 100.8 meters long. At the south of walls there are a pair of stone lions, two pairs of stone figures and a pair of obelisks. The tomb is large in scale and abundant with burial articles. There are 40 pieces well-preserved murals described the life in palace and more than 1,000 pieces valuable cultural relics.
