Xian Train

Except for the under constructed Xian North Railway Station, Xian Railway Station, a major national railway station, is the most important railway passenger transport center in Xian.

Xian Railway Station is located in the north urban area of the city. Xiyan (Xian to Yan’an) Railway connects the city to the revolutionary scared place, Yan’an City, in north. Xikang (Xian to Ankang) Railway extends to Sichuan Province and radiates to the surrounding areas. Passengers will enjoy the services from Xian to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanning, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Tianjin, Xiamen, Yantai, Guangzhou, Kunming, Chengdu and Korla, etc.

Generally, the ticket offices scattered in the city presell tickets, however, it is not convenient for foreigners to purchase tickets here since there is no English speaking assistances. It is better to find some agents attached to the star rated hotels to offer ticket-booking service, with some service charge. Ticket demand always exceeds supply during peak travel seasons, especially in May Day Holiday and China National Day.
