Xining Bus
There are two kinds of buses in Xining: Buses servicing downtown districts are larger, costing RMB 1 or RMB0.7 with an IC card. Smaller mini-buses connect the city center with suburbs and the new zone of the Southern District. These trips cost RMB0.5 for traveling up to six stops and RMB1 for traveling any further. Visitors are warned to get the exact change for their fare ready before boarding the bus.
Buses operate between 6:00 to 20:30 with the most popular lines running until to 22:30.

Xining Coach
Xining Long Distance Bus Station dominates the counties and towns transportation within Xining. At the same time it also take responsibility to transfer guest to or from, Dunhuang and Liujiaxia in Gansu Province, Suide and Xi'an in Shaanxi Province as well as Henan Province in the morning. In the afternoon, some long distance buses depart for Lanzhou in Gansu Province, Golmud, Lhasa and Yinchuan in Ningxia Province.
