Xining Taxi
There are several different taxi firms operating in Xining. The newer Santana, Fukang and Citroen taxis are easy to spot, having been painted bright green. The older red Xiali taxis are still in operation, accounting for over half of the cabs in the city. There is a flat fee of RMB 6 which covers the first 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) of any journey, with every additional kilometer (0.6 miles) costing RMB 1.3, rising to RMB 1.5 between 22:00 and 6:00.
