Brief information on Yulong River

Yulong River is actually the stretch from Shiwaitaoyuan to Gongnong Bridge of Li River, 16 km long, 38-61 m wide and 0.5-2 m deep. It is clear and slow-moving throughout the year. Along the two banks, the peaks rise up and down; the grass looks like a carpet; the bamboos are luxuriantly verdant.
Yulong River is suitable for rafting. The entire rafting route is 12 km long. This takes 5-6 hours during low flow period or 3-4 hours during high flow period, with charges of CNY 480 for two persons (one raft only loading two persons); the half rafting route involves rafting along the upper reaches or the lower reaches of Yulong River and charges CNY 240 for two persons.
The attractions on both sides of Yulong River include Yulong Bridge, Fuli Bridge, Shuangliu Meijing, Xiangtang Jiasheng, Big and Small Wuzhi Hills, Shizi Hill, Baxian Rock, Ancient Xiangui Bridge, Site of Guiyi County and Shiwaitaoyuan Scenic Area. Hiking or riding a bike along Yulong River is a good choice.
