Yichang History
With more than 4000 or 5000 years of history, Yichang was referred to as "the throat of Sichuan and Hubei province". in the spring and autumn seasons. Yichang is known for the Warring States (770-476 BC), Yichang was controlled by the Chu State, at which time it was called "the west frontier fortress of Chu" in ancient history. Many famous battles took place there. During the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280 AD) the city was raised to the ground.
