Brief information on Shenmu Garden  

Aksu means ”Whitewater” in Uygur language. Since Aksu River flowing from the inside of the city, the city got this name. The climate in Aksu is warm and dry, and the average annual temperature there is 7 ° C -8 ° C. Less rain falls, but rich in water flow, there is Aksu River and Tarim River. 1,700 meters above sea level, Shenmu Garden is located 60 kilometers northwest of Wensu County. Covering more than 600 acres, the garden is also known as ”Pearl of the Gobi”.
There are various kinds of trees, such as poplar, elm, willow, almond etc. and they are grown in different shapes, some are like a dragon crouching on the land, some are like growing with head and the root together. The tallest poplar tree in the garden is 96.23 meters high with a diameter of 6.25 meters
