Huzhou Overview:   Huzhou is a prefecture-level city in northern Zhejiang province. Lying south of the Lake Tai, it borders Jiaxing to the east, Hangzhou to the south, and the provinces of Anhui and Jiangsu to the west and north respectively. Huzhou is known as the City of Silk, is one of the Four Capital-cities of Silk in China

Huzhou Climate & Weather:   Huzhou has a subtropical humid monsoon climate and an average annual temperature of 12.2-16.1°C. The average annual rainfall is 1,300 mm and the frost-free period is 224-240 days.

Language in Huzhou:  People speak Huzhou dialect., but Mandarin is also in common use there.

Huzhou Transportation: Huzhou enjoys a well-established water-land transportation network. Huzhou boasts a first-class inland railway-highway-waterway transit port and an international container through-transit base.

By Air:  Huzhou has no airport. You may take a bus to the Shanghai airport or Hangzhou airport.

By Train:  There are three railways crossing Huzhou: Anhui-Huzhou-Hangzhou, Xinyi (Jiangsu)-Changxing(Huzhou) and Zhapu-Huzhou Railways, which are connected with the state trunk railways—Longhai Railway and Huhang Railway.

By Bus:  There are the Hangzhou-Huzhou-Nanjing Expressway, the No. 104 National Highway which crosses the country from north to south and the No. 318 National Highway which crosses the country from east to west. The Shanghai-Jiangsu-Huzhou-Anhui Expressway and Shanghai-Jiaxing-Huzhou Expressway which are under construction also intersect in Huzhou.

Water Transportation:  The waterway route from Changxing to Shanghai gives Huzhou convenient access to water transport.

Major Huzhou Tourism Resources:  Mogan Mountain: Located in the west of Deqing County, it is one of the four famous summer resorts in China. Bamboo, cloud and spring compose the supreme beauty of this tranquil, green and cool mountain resort.

Feiying Pagoda: The stone pagoda was built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to restore Buddha relics and Buddhist sculptures. In Song Dynasty (960-1279), a new wooden pagoda was built to protect the stone pagoda inside. It is an art treasure of ancient Buddhist buildings.
