Zhongshan city is the hometown of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a famous historic and cultural southern city in China. The city located at the south part of Pearl River Delta faces Hong Kong and Shenzhen to the east, neighboring Zhuhai, Macao to the south and borders Guangzhou to the north.

Zhongshan City has a long history and in ancient times, it has a reputation of “Fragrant Hill”. Founded in the 22nd, South Song Dynasty and in 1925, it has changed the name to Zhongshan, the first and unique city named with the great forerunner of democratic revolution of China.

Zhongshan city is home to many interesting places, particularly constructed as a menmorial to Dr. Sun Yat-sen. For instance, the former Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, located at southeast of Zhongsha city, Cuiheng Village, is a memorial museum and takes the former residence of Sun Yat-sen as its main theme. The residence hosts factual materials and abundant collections to represent the social and historic flavour of Zhongshan city.

Apart from the interests memorializing Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the surrounding scenic beauty is also splendid. Wugui Peak, with its odd stones, clean lakes and marvelous waterfalls, has an equal reputation with Xiqiao Mountain and Luofu Mountain. Xiaolan Town is praised as “Golden Petal of Chrysanthemum City” and every autumn, colorful chrysanthemums blossom all over the city. Sunwen Traditional streets are located outside the west gate of Shiqi Steel City and combines mountains, waters and the city together. Zhongshan is the commercial, cultural and transportation center of Shiqi City, with high cultural and artistic appeal.
