Day 1

Place & Transport Arrive in Beijing
Today's Activities Arrive in Beijing, you will be met by your local representative and transferred to your hotel. Relax the rest of the day in China's historic and vibrant capital city.

Day 2

Today's Activities After breakfast, you will visit the Tiananmen Square which is the world's largest public square. One visitor has written, "An army could be massed, and all the kites in the world could fly." Then walk through the Square to enter the Forbidden City, the symbolic center of the Chinese universe and a lasing monument of dynastic China. Afterwards, take a rickshaw ride along Old Beijing's Hutong to discover the sights and sounds of local Beijing life in these traditional Chinese neighborhoods. This tour features a delicious lunch served at a local family home. Last stop is the idyllic Summer Palace, once the summer retreat and playground for the imperial family and royal court during the late Qing Dynasty.

Day 3

Today's Activities In the morning, you visit the Temple of Heaven, the largest temple complexes in China and a paradigm of Chinese architectural balance and symbolism. One key element in China's architectural genius was the blending of the monumental with the delicate, and the Temple of Heaven is perhaps the finest expression of this mixing of near opposite. After lunch at a local restaurant, you take a scenic drive through the countryside and mountains to reach China's most renowned monument – Mutianyu Great Wall which is less-visited and more original section. In the evening, we are gathering for a specially prepared meal of Beijing Duck, cooked to crispy perfection.

Day 4

Place & Transport Beijing - Xian
Today's Activities After breakfast, take a chance to stop at the Bird Nest and visit the exterior portion of this huge complex — the main stadium of 2008 Beijing Olympics on the way to Beijing 798 Art Zone where you will be able to touch the unique sense of culture and have lunch on your own. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Xian. Upon your arrival at Xian, your local guide will meet you at airport and then transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is left on your own.
798 Art Zone -- Once was the military-industrial factory complex since early 1950's, Beijing 798 Art Zone has more than 200 art & culture galleries. Meanwhile, it is often compared with New York's Greenwich Village.

Day 5

Place & Transport Xian
Today's Activities Today's excursion will take you to one of the greatest archaeological discovery - The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years. The extensive excavation, still in progress, has yielded over 6000 life-sized terra cotta warriors, each individually sculpted, with the physical characteristics of the humans they were modeled after. After a local featured dainty lunch, drive back to the hotel and passing by the Big Wild Goose Pagoda – the sign of ancient Xian. Make a stop and choose the best angle to view this "Leaning Tower of China", you will also be amazed by those exquisite architectures and sculptures on the two sides of the square in the front of the pagoda.

Day 6

Place & Transport Xian-Dunhuang
Today's Activities Pay a visit to Xian City Wall (Bicycle Riding on the wall is included) and the Great Mosque. In addition, we will drive you to the airport and take a flight to Dunhuang. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, our guide will take you to visit Crescent Moon Spring and Echoing Sand Dune to enjoy their most beautiful moment at sunset. After dinner, you can have a good rest in hotel.

Day 7

Place & Transport Dunhuang-Turpan
Today's Activities Pay a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Mogao Caves - China's richest treasure house of Buddhist paintings, statues, and manuscripts. Nearly 500 grottoes pierce the desert cliffs above a dry river valley and were created over a thousand-year period stretching from the 4th century to the 14th century AD. Nine dynasties rose and fell during this time, and the artists of each period contributed. The art illuminates a time when Dunhuang was a major center of Central Asian culture and the main contact point between China and the rest of the world. After lunch, you will be driven to Liuyuan railway station to take an overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.

Day 8

Place & Transport Turpan
Today's Activities Upon arrival, our guide will pick you up at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. Have a breakfast at the hotel and then start your today's sightseeing tour. Pay a visit to Gaochang Ruins, the largest relics of ancient western regions, and then head to the 5-century AD Baizeklik Thousand Buddha Caves in stunning surroundings, high up a cliff in the Murtuk River gorge. After lunch, go to the Flaming Mountain and Astana Graves.

Day 9

Place & Transport Turpan-Shanghai
Today's Activities Pay a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site of ancient Jiaohe Ruins, Emin Minaret and Karez Well - the remarkable underground irrigation system that were first engineered 2,000 years ago, based on a Persian design.. Today's tour ends here and our guide will see you off at the airport. After arrival, you will be picked up at Shanghai airport and transferred to hotel.

Day 10

Place & Transport Shanghai
Today's Activities In the morning, pay a visit to the Shanghai Museum where you can appreciate a large number of precious collections. Afterwards, ramble around the Bund, a famous waterfront, which is regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. After lunch, enjoy a tranquil and happy time in the Yuyuan Garden, a 400 year old classical Chinese garden in the Old Town of Shanghai. Then stroll around the Yuyuan Market, a famous shopping area with various traditional Chinese arts and crafts and souvenirs. Finally, you can walking along the Tianzifang, a new art zone in Shanghai, in which you can find special architecture of old shanghai city as well as a lot of bars, cafes, craft shops, studio, galleries, and boutiques.
