Tour reviews for the tour itinerary: 3 Days tour of Lijiang
Mr. Gordon and Ms. Susan's China Tour Review
| Gordon & Susan with Mt. Everest |
Hi Lydia & Fay,
I am unsure why our previous replies were not received !! However third time lucky!
Well, here goes.
All motor vehicles supplied for our use were very clean & tidy. The air conditioners were always in use or as required. We did not have any problems.
The drivers all behaved politely during our trip. They were most helpful in storing our luggage, opening doors and looking after our comfort. We did not find any offensive behavior.
Our tour guides all spoke clearly, were polite and easy to understand. we had no major communication difficulties at all.
We were supplied with one bottle of water each per day which was very well received. Thank you! In Tibet, Tenzin our guide had a carton of water in the car at all times for our consumption as we needed to drink this more frequently due to altitude differences. This was very much appricated.
We were both very happy with all accommodation that was organised. There were no complaints in that area. The restaurants visted were good too.
We would like to make a suggestion that perhaps we the travel should be consulted in regard to what and how much we would like to eat.
The restaurants appeared to be clean and tidy. The food supplied was very tasty with the only fault being there was too much food!! We were concerned that we were unable to finish the food therefore resulting in it being wasted. All staff were polite.
The hotels were all clean and tidy. We were made to feel welcome.
We were consulted as to whether we wished to visit the shops premises. If we were in agreement we did so however if we were not interested that was fine. There was no pressure to go there & were able to leave once we were ready.
We were very happy with the travel arrangements. We are happy for CTO to use our comments.
We would like to take this opportunity to voice our opinion in regard to the debacle in regard to our permit into Tibet. This created a lot of stress for us as well as to Lydia in trying to reorganise new travel plans. This in fact created new financial pressures on us, having to return home & then start again. We had to pay for extra flights and luckily we were able to borrow this from family at short notice. Considering this trip was approximately 5 years in the planning and saving, this was a huge disappointment.
We would like to thank Lydia very much for her patience and time in organising our trip. Lydia would have been under immense pressure to see her well laid plans unravelling. Lydia was able to organise the amendments to our travel very well - thank you very much!!!
A big thank you to Tenzin in Tibet who was a fantastic guide. His communication skills, knowledge and help were fantastic. Tenzin has a very good sense of humour and was most helpful. When we needed to get some medications, Tenzin took us along to the pharmacy and explained to the the pharmacist exactly what our problem was!! Tenzin also enquired as to what we would like to eat which was greatly appreciated.
He is an absolute gem and we reccomend he is kept on your books!! Thank you Tenzin for making our adventure in Tibet most memorable!!!!
We would also like to commend Chris in Li Jiang who was most helpful to us when we were both terribly ill. He took us to the hospital & got treatment for us. He was invaluable in communicting with the medical staff. His concern and care for us was genuine and much appreciated.
