Steve Fisher's China Tour Review

Dearest friends at ChinaTourOnline.com,

I am so pleased to tell you my trip that your CTO arranged for us. Your web service is very easy to use and CTO's responses are always quick and professional. The guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. They were well informed about the areas we were visiting which we enjoyed very much, especially some legend they told us.

Our most memorable days were the visit to Ganlanba in Xishuangbanna, so much fruits; Shangri-La, the wonderful families that allowed us a visit to their homes, the amazing drive to Shangri-La along the Yangtze river and the new national park in there; oh, yes and Lijiang- the beautiful town, we love this small ancient town very much, especially the bar life there, but we didn't have enough spare time to enjoy the small town in Lijiang, which was a great pity for us.

You know it is our first time to book a tour we never done this sort of thing over the internet before, so we were very nervous. We are so happy that everything in our trip was organized like you said. Thank you so much!

Mr. Bob McEvoy's China Tour Review

Our clients at Summer Palace, Beijing

Hello Ivy and Tracy,

We are back in Adelaide and reflecting on our tour of China, which was enjoyable. Everything that was arranged with Chinatouronline worked well, and the guides in each city were able to add extra side tours to make our visit memorable.
The vehicles were great, no breakdown and comfortable and all the drivers were courteous and helpful. We have no communication difficulty at all. All guides were very knowledgeable of the area and history and were very helpful.

Our guide in Beijing, Jason, was the most knowledgeable and helpful; and our guifde in Xi'an, Michael was the most friendly.

We booked the following tours with you or our guides:
Beijing - KungFu (the very best) Acrobats (Excellent) Peking Opera (Excellent)
Xian - Cultural Show - excellent
Guilin - Cultural Show - excellent
Yangshuo Liu Sanjie Impression - unique and breathtaking!

Vehicles were clean and air conditioned throughout our trip. It was always a pleasure to get in the car and all drivers were well behaved and drove responsibly. And all tour guides spoke well and were easy to understand.

All hotels were well appointed in the centre of each city, access to public transport & shops was good.

All meals provided throughout the tour were excellent. In Xi'an the train was late arriving and the hotel provided breakfast for us even though we arrived very late. We enjoyed a good range of food, all enjoyable and the waiters and waitresses always entertain us politely with great thoughtfulness. We are Very difficult to select out one for the best food we have enjoyed, but dinner at our last restaurant in Beijing was possibly the best.

In some hotels the air conditioning did not work well. We reported it to the hotel staff and they handled the case accordingly and very efficiently. Our hotel in Guilin ( the Universal Hotel) was exceptional and well situated on the Li River and near the centre of action in the city.

Thanks again for the wonderful tour arranged by CTO !

Mike & Denise Fuller-Lewis's China Tour Review

Dear Tracy, Ivy and colleagues,

Many thanks for organizing our wonderful China holiday.

We were a little anxious at first dealing with an unknown company over the net and cable transferring the full payment amount before departure. It all depended on trust, a trust that was well justified C you never let us down once.

Of course different tourists like different things but for us the far outstanding segment was our visit to the Datong area. The grottoes, the Huayan Monastery, The hanging monastery, the wooden Pagoda and of course the magical ancient city of Pingyao, not to mention the spectacular Wang family courtyard were all breathtakingly beautiful. Our excellent local guide (Jellie) and ever polite driver made it all the more enjoyable.

Perhaps the most unexpected customer service was to find our guide waiting us on the train platform exactly at our car number. That was most reassuring.

All guides took great care of us at all times.

Our rather confusing family name caused confusion with the airline booking.1. First name 2. middle name 3. family name

1. Denise 2. Jennifer 3. Fuller-Lewis (the middle name is rarely used).

The plane tickets were booked as Denise Jenniferful & Mike Jenniferful. The guides sorted confusion out at check in. At one airport we arrived too early for check-in and insisted our guide leave us. We then had terrible trouble checking in and had to see a senior supervisor before we could resolve the name problem.

However it was a wonderful holiday and we would thoroughly recommend you to others who wish to travel in China!

Mr. Gregory Stanton Reading's China Tour Review

Dear Ms Tracy Liu and Ms Ivy Lu,

The vehicles were fine and the drivers were generally very good and polite. This was in contrast to some of the taxi drivers we hired privately, some of whom drove in a scary manner.

The tour guides were all very good, very friendly and helpful, and communicated well. One or two sometimes mispronounced some English words, but nothing serious, and they were happy to be advised in this by us. Often they went out of there way to ensure that things went smoothly for us, and they are always happy to meet our preferences.

We always drink only bottled water when traveling to avoid becoming sick, so this is important.

Over-all the hotels were good, but with the following comments:

Shanghai - a pity about the road-works outside and it was a long walk to the places we wanted to visit.

Xian - comfortable and very well located. Although they made an effort to deliver a "western breakfast" (bacon and fried eggs), breakfast here was the worst of our trip. We are happy to experiment with local foods, but like juice (not cordial) and fresh fruit. Toast should be brown and crisp, not a slice of bread waved in front of a heater.

Beijing is very comfortable and well located with a metro-station at the front-door.

One problem we had at all hotels was that we were provided with a single blanket which tended to be too hot. The option of a lighter cover or sheet as well would be desirable and make sleeping more comfortable.

The restaurants were generally good and especially Chongqing and Xian. Shanghai was the least interesting.

In Beijing the guide took us to a local restaurant, not the usual restaurant for tourists, which we really enjoyed.

We have not commented on the Yangtze Cruise, which was the high-light of our trip. The food was good, everyone was very attentive and the river-guides were especially good and friendly. The scenery and the side-trips were interesting, and the accommodation was fine.

We were very happy over-all and very interested to visit China.

  Echo Wall

From operator of CTO, Tracy

Dear Mr. Gregory Stanton Reading & Mr. Stephen Hendro SOELISTIO,

We are following up the our service and thanks again for your comments as you did help us to improve our service quality greatly.

We investigated the hotel breakfast situation in Xian, and we also give your suggestions and feedback to the manager of the hotel, they are guilty about providing the unsatisfied breakfast to their clients and they also showed their sincere attitude towards improving the service quality. We believe that you will enjoy the tasty breakfast when you come to Xian next time.

And we have also given your suggestions to all the hotels for a lighter cover or sheet to make sleeping more comfortable during April, and they show that any constructive suggestions to them are welcomed at any time and they will definitely improve it.

Please be assured that we were happy with all the service from Chinatouronline. We would be happy to use your service again next time we go to China and we would recommend your company to our friends.

Thanks again for your helpful suggestions.

Thank you again for your time and helpful feedback and we are looking forward to welcoming you to China and serving you with upgraded service!
