Mr. Larry Percival's China Tour Review
Dear Tracy,
All the tour vehicles were modern, clean and well driven. We had some passenger cars and some small tour vans.
Absolutely no problems whatsoever. The drivers were well dressed and polite. Their driving skills were excellent. They were helpful in assisting us into the vehicles and opening and closing doors.
English was well spoken. The guides were a wealth of information teaching us the historical as well as contemporary aspects of this wonderfully complex culture.
Every guide was university trained in English and Tourism.
We did not receive two bottles of water in Shanghai, but we did in all other venues. This is a very nice bonus service.
Oh Wow!. The restaurant were all excellent choices. The nice thing is that they were all different allowing us to experience different decorating and entertainment as we moved from province to province. One restaurant placed us in a private dining room and while this can be viewed as "special", we preferred to sit with the locals so we could interact. As non-Asians we were still a novelty in some areas and locals were really interested in speaking with us. It was great.
I am a retired Public Health Officer, so I carefully observe conditions in all food premises. I found the restaurants to be very clean, the food was hot and the handling very sanitary. It was nice to have a western component to all breakfasts(eggs, toast, bacon, fruit and yogurt). All other meals were traditional chinese and were delicious. Of all the lunches and suppers, we had only one repeat dish.Every meal offered a fruit plate for dessert. The baked fish dish in Yichang was the best we have ever had!!! The dumpling dinner was excellent. The flavors became spicier as we got closer the Xian but were not overwelming. The quantities were huge; often 6-7 different plates plus soup(delicious) for the 2 of us. The food on the cruise ship was very good and my only negative comment had to do with the breakfast buffet. The group of guests on our ship were very agressive in stampeeding the buffet when it opened and we often missed out because the food trays were empty. ( Some of the guests also smoked in the dining room). The riverboat cruise director was appalled with their behavour, but little seemed to be done to correct the issues.
We chose this tour carefully from a choice of many others because it offered the itinerary we wanted and the number of meals(saves time and hassle). The tour delivered everything with adequate time at every venue. Highlites: Shanghai is the most beautiful city and our hotel was only 2 blocks from the Bund, the rivercruise was wonderful,Terracotta warriors were unbelievable, acrobat show and Tang music show, the Pandas and the Wall, Forbidden City and Tienaman Square in Beijing. This basically was a private tour for the 2 of us with a guide and driver. This is nice compared to a group tour because everything moves faster and you can hear everything the guides tell you.
Sharing the sleeping compartment on the overnight train was a positive experience for us,although others that may be more reserved should consider opting for a private compartment.
Thanks for coming by to meet us Tracy. I have already recommended ChinaTourOnline to several people.
China was modern, clean and safe. We enjoyed interacting with the wonderful people and learned much. Thanks for a great time!

Mrs. Lydia Erika Graham's China Tour Review
Hello Ivy
Thank you for the photo, and also thank you for such a wonderful trip, we will recommend Chinatouronline to all our friends.
The vehicle was very clean and perfect for the 3 of us, no problems at all. The drivers were very polite. The guides spoke clearly only the one in Xian we had a little bit of difficulty to understand some times. Here I would like to compliment:
1. River and the driver in Beijing they were very coordinated and efficient to make our days smooth.
2. The guide and driver in Chongqing they were excellent and she went the extra mile in order to make our short stay pleasant.
PLEASE GIVE OUR SINCERE THANK YOU TO BEIJING AND CHONGQUIN TEAMS.
The hotels were nice and clean excellent service all the staff were very polite.
The best hotel was the one in Beijing PRIME HOTEL excellent service, very clean, the rooms were big, the bathroom big and clean, the buffet magnificent, and the attitude of all the employees excellent, the best was the one in Beijing.
The restaurants overall were okay, the first restaurant in Beijing needs to fix the wall paper on the walls, they were peeling and gives a sense of being old and dirty.
We enjoyed very much all the food, was excellent in all the restaurants. I should tell you that the one in Chongqin the food was tasty. I suggest that you mentioned to the restaurants that they should place a serving spoon with every dish. Also a fork for all the foreigners.
The silk factory in Beijing was nice to visit. In Xian was very nice to see the Clay factory and workshop also. We enjoyed to visit there.
Overall I thank you for a wonderful trip, I wish I could stay longer in Shanghai, next time I will go for 3 o 4 weeks!!
Erika

Kenneth Bunner's China Tour Review
Hello Tracy,
Let me tell you that I enjoyed a terrific holiday through the company that you represent, China tours online. I particularly enjoyed the portion of the tour that you oversee in Shaanix and Xian.
The tour guide Jasmine was the best of all the guides that led me during the tour. She was kind and soft spoken. Her organization and flexibility in conducting the tour and her knowledge and introspection were top-notch. She conversed in English without hesitation and with a great deal of confidence. She was an absolute joy.
The sights that I visited on the tour had many magical moments. The Terracotta Warriors museum was particularly amazing along with the Emporer’s tombs. The choice of restaraunts for lunch and dinner were always excellent choices and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the Chinese opera and evening performance at the dinner theatre we visited on the second evening.
Also impressive was the hotel that was selected for me in Shaanix during my stay. The western dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet were wonderful. The room that I stayed in at hotel was beyond description. It was the most impressive accommodation that I have ever experienced. I wish to add that I am a seasoned traveller having completed 25 airline flights in the last year alone. I hope this information helps you to see that I am discriminant in my praise.
Thank you and Jasmine so much. The tour you organized was above expectations and most enjoyable.Congratulations on a job well done. Please pass along my gratitiude to Jasmine. Thank you for greeting me during my tour. It is a pleasure doing business with you.
I have some photos that I will forward to you when I am at my own computer in a few days.

Mr. Kenneth Lim & Mrs. Yuet Mei Lim's China Tour Review
Dear Tracy and Ivy:
All 3 tour vehicles were in great shape. All went well during the whole trip.
Drivers were very polite, courteous & punctual yet aggressive enough to handles the challenges of driving in these cities.
All 3 guides were very knowledgeable, very thoughtful and are quite concern for our safety at all time although we found all 3 cities to be quite safe to travel by ourselves as first time visitors.
Restaurants were relatively clean and the staffs were quite polite and helpful. The lunch during our Xian tour was quite good. I think we both did enjoy that lunch :) Both the breakfast at Beijing’s Xuanwumen hotel and Shanghai’s Hengsheng hotel were great offering acceptable quality and lot of choices.
For location we would vote for Beijing’s Xuanwumen Hotel, however, for newness, Shanghai’s Hotel Hengsheng is the one.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better tour company. We really had a wonderful trip even though it is only budget package. We could afford a much better package if we want but we want to be as local as possible being of Chinese descents... All staff involved were courteous and professional. We like to thanks all the tour guides and drivers involved who really had our safety in mind when we were with them. We were impressed with Nancy in Beijing who seems to have the history of ancient China memorized like the back of her palm.
Throughout my correspondence with CTO while in Canada before our trip commence, and after we landed in China, Tracy has provided us with very timely and organized email reminders that’s were very reassuring for first time travelers to these cities. The contact information for each city prior to our arrival gave us peace of mind to say the least. We like to express our appreciation & thanks to Tracy for going above & beyond the call of her duty to visit us at our hotel in Xian...to make sure that we were well looked after. We also want to thanks her for presenting us with the beautiful silk souvenirs.
Will we use CTO for our future China tours? It is a resounding Yes!
